Morning/afternoon gents. Gone for a spell, back for a few, soon to be gone again
Bass, there seemed to be some pretty solid advise here. Honestly I only skimmed most. Yank has some pretty truthful and real words. Allow me to expand a bit

  • Gulf gave up the goods again this morning. Fun, clean waves. A bit of a crowd started to build late morning but plenty of waves to go around13C5B627-A844-4918-AAC3-B32273D24FA2

  • Gulf teets for days courtesy of that little TS. Left work early Friday. Was small at 4:30, but was building rapidly. By the time it started getting good was past last light. Pretty eerie once it’s dark.
Yesterday was as good as it gets, swells well over head and super clean waved. By far the biggest faces I’ve rode so far. Ive been in similar siz…[Read more]

  • It ‘twas a bit like a washing machine yesterday and today, but the certain chunk of sandbar is really making some fun waves. The artificial reefs they dropped seem to be helping hold everything in place for now. Lots of fun drops into easy rollers and then reform all the way in.
Also, 4 weeks and 1 day until NZ, not counting the days or anything

    All the best Barry
As for the paddling, I too take the LB out during the flatness to keep the arms in shape. Also, I have started to J.O. with both hands, alternating each day. That way I won’t paddle in circles when the waves come back

  • Another fun weekend on the Gulf. Saturday was fairly clean and enough size to get a few areas on the sandbar going. Yesterday was a lot of fun, but a lot of wind too. The current was crazy though. But the waves in a few of the go-to spots had a fun entry and could catch the re-form to the inside. Then there were the occasional sets that kept…[Read more]

Got to mess around for a couple hours on some small but clean waves this morning. Wasn’t planning on it, went for a swim and was glad I keep a board in the back of the truck. Many fun rides when I wasn’t expecting any.

Weirdest thing though, every 8 min or so, some waves that were bigger then the rest would roll in. Now they were only bigger by…[Read more]

I personally think you and the misses are making the right call with the hospital. Yes, babies have been born since the dawn of time, Oipaul is right about mortality rate. My brother and his wife had a daughter in the hospital. They said it was too institutional and opted to have their son at home. We had already had our first, in the hospital,…[Read more]

Forgot to mention, a few of the reefs were dropped just outside second sandbar

June grass is gone. We haven’t had too much seaweed yet, usually shows up mid-late August.

Walton county Artificial Reef Association dropped a bunch of “reef” objects in ’15. I ‘ve been out to a couple and they are very active. At low you can walk out far enough to cast pretty close to a couple of them. There is a link to a reef location map…[Read more]

Probably won’t need more then a soft top or LB. We have a small bump coming the next two days but supposed to drop after that. But believe it or not, in this area and a little east of where you’ll be, there is usually something worth playing on more frequently then expected.

My youngest has Jr Lifeguard camp this month. During the week I drop…[Read more]
